Nathan Howard, M.D. has maintained an excellent reputation as a Family Medicine Specialist in the Hemet Valley area since 2004, and has over 23 years of experience in the medical field. His private practices, Same Day Medical Care and the Office of Nathan Howard, M.D., are focused on Family Care and Senior Care, including for women’s and men’s health issues, and for children’s preventative services. Dr. Howard is also affiliated with Hemet Valley Medical Center, Inland Valley Medical Center, Menifee Valley Medical Center, and Sharp Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Howard was born in Columbia, MO and grew up in Mission Viejo, CA. After graduating Valedictorian from Capistrano Valley High School, he attended Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland, and while there worked in the laboratory of Nobel Laureate Hamilton O. Smith, assisting in publishing articles for scientific journals. He graduated with departmental honors in biology at John Hopkins, and then attended New York Medical College, receiving his medical degree in 1995. Dr. Howard returned to California for his family medicine residency at Riverside County Regional Medical Center (now UCR Health), while in his third year there he served as co-chief resident, graduating in 2002. His credentials include his California State Medical License and Drug Enforcement Administration License. 

Dr. Howard’s general Family Health services include: consultations for family health & wellness, family planning and birth control, pregnancy care, pediatric care, adult and childhood vaccinations, weight management, athletic physical exams for children’s sports programs, treatment for influenza, and many more. 

Specific to Seniors’ and Women’s Health, his practice also offers diabetic screening exams, EKG, blood pressure, and heart wellness screening exams, nutrition and weight management, prostate health exams, cancer screenings, breast exams, pap smears, treatment for hormonal issues and hormonal replacement therapy (natural and traditional), treatment for menstrual and PMS disorders, menopause counseling and treatment, STD screening and treatment, and solutions for urinary leakage / incontinence.
